Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

I advise you to call your health insurance company for pre-authorization if needed before your first appointment. I do not file insurance claims for my patients, I will provide a super bill receipt for you to be able to file a claim. Please note that acupuncture is not covered by Medicaid/Medicare.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

You will need to bring the following forms to your appointment: Women's Health History Form or Men's Health History Form Consent Form Registration Form VA Form Cancellation Policy Additionally, you can email the forms prior to your appointment to sarahsteedacupuncture@gmail.com.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Be sure to eat a meal one to two hours before your appointment and drink plenty of water to be well hydrated. This will help the acupuncture therapy work the best. Do not drink any alcohol the day of your acupuncture and keep caffeine beverages to a minimum.

Do you offer house call appointments?

If needed, I do make house call appointments. House call appointments are offered on a case by case basis. Please call to see if you are eligible.
